Green‐light‐emitting CdSe nanocrystals (NCs) react with hydrogen peroxide or lipid hydroperoxide, resulting in fluorescence quenching. After aging, the oxidized NCs regained fluorescence with a blue shift (see image) of 15 nm, which was requenched by adding more hydrogen peroxide. CdSe NCs are used to achieve a high sensitivity in the quantification of lipid hydroperoxide.
