Branched selenium nanotubes have been synthesized by a facile, low‐temperature approach in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone. Different growth directions were observed in the as‐prepared branched tubes. First‐principles calculations show that arms with different growth directions exhibit unusual electronic properties. Such multiarmed Se nanotubes (see image) can be applied to produce other multiarmed tubular functional materials.
