Mn‐doped zinc silicate and cadmium silicate bundles (see Figure) have been prepared on Si(100) substrates in an atmospheric‐pressure chemical vapor deposition apparatus at a much lower temperature compared to conventional methods. They are proven to give strong visible luminescence (green‐ and orange‐light emission, respectively) under excitation.
