A new shuttle mission : The design of molecular shuttles, which integrate the motor protein kinesin to propel microtubules (the associated polymeric filament), requires a general strategy to achieve selective cargo binding. We describe the in situ functionalization of biotinylated microtubules with biotinylated antibodies via a streptavidin bridge and demonstrate that selective binding of antigens can be detected via a double‐antibody sandwich assay on the moving shuttle.
