Functionalized carbon nanotubes , particularly those with asymmetric modification, would be of vital importance in a variety of applications in electronics, sensors, biological analysis, and beyond (see picture). A recent advance in the end‐functionalization of single‐walled carbon nanotubes offers great promise in realizing such materials and may provide a route to more complex systems.
