We respond to M ason and D rakeman's comment on our published paper titled “ A re A ll ‘ S harks’ D angerous? N ew B iotechnology V entures and P artner S election in R&D A lliances” ( D iestre and R ajagopalan, 2012). We discuss both their survey analysis and alternative explanation and conclude that neither of them invalidates our theoretical premise and our empirical conclusions .
