A method for ortho ‐trifluoromethylation of C−H bonds in anilines has been developed. Reactions used nucleophilic TMSCF 3 as trifluoromethylating reagent in the presence of silver pivalate (AgOPiv) catalyst. Functionalities such as halogen, nitro, and ketone groups were compatible with conditions.
