One of the old challenges for the selective synthesis of epoxides is the epoxidation of different alkenes via molecular oxygen (air) under moderate conditions. Herein, we report that Pd/ZnO nanoparticles as a photocatalyst could be catalyzed the aerobic epoxidation of a broad range of alkenes by molecular oxygen (air) under visible light irradiation at room temperature. Besides, to show the applicability and benefit of the medicinal chemistry of the present method, the epoxidation of selected pharma agents is shown.
