A method for the preparation of 2‐deoxygalactosides by using a novel magnetic core‐shell material Fe 3 O 4 @C@SO 3 H as a catalyst was developed. The method had the advantages of short reaction time (1–4 h), good to excellent yield (69–93 %), high stereoselectivity (α:β >30 : 1), one‐pot synthesis of trisaccharides. Moreover, the catalyst retained good catalytic activity after five times recycling, and the yield did not change significantly.
