Synthetic protocol for direct growth of perylenediimides (PDIs) single crystals in high yield via temperature‐driven in situ crystallization has been established. Single crystal analysis confirmed the formation of 1D column of PDIs that are stabilized by π‐π stacking and C−H⋅⋅⋅O hydrogen bonding interactions. The influence of reaction temperature on the crystallization, absorption and fluorescence properties of PDIs has been studied.
