An efficient and environmental protocol for the arylation of benzoxazoles with phenylglyoxylic acids promoted by base has been developed. This protocol provides expedient access to substituted 2‐aryl benzoxazoles with CO 2 as the only byproduct. The present transformation provided high yields at a relatively low temperature and tolerated chloro‐, bromo‐, fluoro‐, and methoxy‐ groups, even heterocycles.
