Abstract A gold nanoparticles‐supported hydrotalcite was developed and employed as a stable and efficient catalyst for the oxidation of styrene and hydration of alkynes. Preparation of the catalyst involves a reaction between and hydration reactions, but also excellent reusability in more than five cycles.AuPPh 3 Cl and hydrotalcite under mild conditions. The prepared catalyst exhibited not only outstanding catalytic activity for oxidation
