The sign, wavelength, and intensity of circularly polarised luminescence, generated from two photoexcited pyrene moieties, were successfully controlled by selecting a suitable achiral wired structure to connect two achiral fluorescent pyrenes with an axially chiral binaphthyl backbone. Especially, these circularly polarised luminescence and circular dichroism signs were found to be influenced by the achiral wire structures, i. e., the chiral structures of S1 and S0 states were affected by the achiral wire structure employed.
