The first copper catalysed C−N formation between formamides and 3,5‐diphenyl‐4 H ‐1,2,4‐triazoles has been developed via cross dehydrogenative coupling reaction of C−H/N−H bonds. This protocol provides a simple and efficient approach to the synthesis of N,N ‐dimethyl‐3,5‐diphenyl‐4 H ‐1,2,4‐triazole‐4‐carboxamides in moderate to good yields.
