Use of Brønsted acid surfactant combined catalysts is very much beneficial to carry out organic transformations in aqueous medium. In this review we have summarized the latest developments on the aqueous mediated synthesis of various organic scaffolds using p‐ dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) as an efficient Brønsted acid surfactant combined catalyst.
