A modified Passerini‐type reaction has been developed for the facile synthesis of 2‐(2 H ‐chromenyl)‐oxazoles, in which 2 H ‐chromene hemiacetals instead of the usually used aldehydes were adopted as the key substrates. Derivation of a 2‐(2 H ‐chromenyl)‐oxazole to the respective 2 H ‐chromene peptide and 1‐(2 H ‐chromenyl)‐furan was further accomplished.
