One new nickel polymer [Ni(L) 2 ⋅(3‐Sb)] n ( 1 ) (L=2‐pyrimidinecarboximidamide; 3‐Sb=3‐sulfo‐benzoic acid) has been synthesized and it is characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, FTIR and elemental analysis. The results show that polymer 1 belongs to the monoclinic system, P 2 1 /n space group, with a =11.3572(8), b =13.1745(8), c =13.2345(9) Å, β =98.887(6)°, V =1956.4(2) Å 3 , Mr=535.13. TGA shows that polymer 1 began to decompose at 230 C, which indicates 1 have good thermal stability. The fluorescence analysis of 1 in the solid state at room temperature shows that this new Ni(II) polymer material has good fluorescence response.
