A simple, inexpensive and environmentally benign protocol for the synthesis of piperidinols is reported by reactions of Mannich bases with primary alkyl amines in water. The synthesized piperidinols displayed potential anthelmintic activity against Indian adult earthworm. The activity profile of piperidinols was correlated with their molecular docking results.
