p‐Nitroazobenzene cored dendrimers decorated with chalcone surface group has been synthesized upto second generation by click reaction through convergent strategy. Photoisomerisation of the synthesized azodendrimers at 365 nm reveal the isobestic point at 296 nm with photostationary state at 11 minutes. Cyclic voltammogram exhibited quasi reversible oxidation reduction potential for all the synthesized dendrimers. Further, the second generation azodendrimer show better cytotoxic effect against MCF‐7 human breast cancer cell lines than the lower generation dendrimers.
