An efficient and straight forward strategy towards the construction of series of pyrimido[4, 5‐ b ]quinoline‐diones by the condensation of aldehyde, aniline and barbituric acid mediated by a supramolecular catalyst β‐cyclodextrinin in aqueous media has been demonstrated for the first time. The present protocol provides a benign route for the building up of the title compounds in environmentally safer reaction medium.
