Precursors of nerve chemical warfare agents were reviewed, considering their importance in industry and consequently the potential impact on chemical security. Physico‐chemical properties of main precursors were evaluated, while main commercial uses were summarized. Toxic properties of precursors were considered in comparison to chemical warfare agents. Some information concerning nerve agentsand their simulants is also given.
