A practical and concise protocol for the efficient preparation of 3‐sulfenylated benzo[ b ]furan derivatives via an addition−elimination/vinylic‐nucleophilic substitution reaction is been described. Various substituted 3‐sulfenylated benzo[ b ]furan derivatives were synthesized in good‐to‐excellent yields under basic conditions. Remarkably, this procedure offers several advantages including good yields, mild reaction conditions, simple operation, no requirement of extra metals, and gram‐scale synthesis.
