An efficient and facile protocol concerning Cu(II)‐catalyzed methylthiolation of 8‐aminoquinoline amides under air atmosphere with widely available DMSO as the terminal thiomethyl source has been developed. The reaction exhibits excellent functional group tolerance and highly regioselectivity, which provides an attractive approach for aryl methyl thioethers preparation.
