Exploiting the synthetic utility of vinyl azide motif, the cascade annulation of vinyl azides with potassium ethyl xanthogenate has been demonstrated under mild and catalyst free condition to afford thiazole‐2(3 H )‐thiones in good to excellent yields. The reaction features green solvent and reliable scalability with low‐cost readily available starting materials making the process eco‐friendly.
