Several drug‐polymer systems have been investigated by XPS can contribute to solve questions like the mechanism of drug loading on the polymeric support and the effectiveness of the packaging system against the action of humidity. The reliability of the quantitative surface analysis and the applicability to a variety of systems has been also checked.
