We investigated a large number of polymer materials. The parameters affecting their emission properties (namely, film thickness, temperature of polymer preparation, metal substrates and so on) were studied. We observed that the emission distributed over the full polymer surface with current densities up to several hundreds of µA/cm 2 . Some polymer samples showed high current emission properties up to 50 µA in d.c. and more than 1.5 mA in sinusoidal regimes. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
