The novel backlight lamps prototype based on use of light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) with remote photo luminescent converter is investigated. The technology utilizing remote photo luminescent converter with composite high efficiency phosphors provides a suitable solution for high brightness active matrix liquid crystal display and general white LED lighting.
