Cylindrical lens array (CLA) is often used in a SMV display system. The display effects is directly related to the parameters of the CLA. In some cases, it is difficult to measure the actual parameters of CLA because of the limitation of measurement condition. In this paper, an indirect method is proposed to calculate the actual parameters of the CLA, like thickness ,lens pitch, bounding angle, and radius, by testing the specific patterns displayed on the panel. The specific patterns are number array displayed full screen. The numbers of different views are different. The measurement efficiency is effectively improved by this method.
