We have designed and simulated a geometric waveguide for near‐eye displays. The image source is a DLP projector with a 4mm pupil. The waveguide consists of two pupil expanders for the horizontal and vertical directions. Simple optical coating and inject molding process could reduce the cost. A near‐eye display with field‐of‐view 40 degrees in diagonal is achieved. The luminance efficiency is 0.5% and the total weight is only 6.1g.
