We discuss the performance of GE's new green phosphors for wide color gamut in liquid crystal displays. These new phosphors are combined with GE's K 2 SiF 6 :Mn 4+ (KSF/PFS) red phosphor to increase color gamut by >5% versus standard KSF/β‐SiAlON:Eu 2+ phosphor blends. Other phosphor performance metrics such as response time, thermal quenching, and environmental stability will also be discussed.
