This paper introduces the current optical schemes of LCD optical fingerprint recognition, analyzes the structure and signal characteristics in detail. The simulation and measurement results show that fingerprint recognition effect is not only dependent on the valley/ridge contrast ratio, but also dependent on the valley/ridge signal difference. Finally, the development direction of LCD optical fingerprint recognition in the future is illustrated by combining the advantages of different optical structures.
