In this study, we compared the effects of two types of perovskite compositions on the efficiency of perovskite LED devices. The perovskite based on methylammonium cation (MA) requires interlayer for efficient device performances and formamidinium cation (FA) showed much better efficiency when we used simpler structure without using any interlayer. To understand those different optimal structure, we proceeded exciton lifetime measurement to confirm exciton quenching processes at the HIL and EML interface.
