We give insight into the promises and challenges of perovskite QDs and will explain why it took a while to make them viable for commercial use in displays. Moreover we will show how the perovskite stability at Avantama evolved over the past 5 years and which development strategies resulted in this progress. Green perovskite QDs will hit the market in 2020 in the form of QD backlight films enabling unprecedented display performance.
