We propose the use of microstructure features to enable local dimming and light extraction in edge‐lit LGPs and demonstrate 115X305 mm 2 BLU with 70% uniformity (455‐points) and 19100 nits luminance by using all‐glass 1.1 mm thickness Corning Iris® glass LGP with tapered lenticular lens array fabricated using a mask and etch process.
