High optical efficiency and low power consumption are critical for display devices. We have analyzed and compared the power consumption of AMOLED and AM‐μLED displays for smartphones, notebooks and TVs under the same ambient contrast ratio. OLED exhibits a lower power consumption than μLED at low luminance, but μLED takes over at high luminance.
