This essay mainly studied the capacitance of OGS touch panels of two different sensor patterns. First, the effects of channel width on capacitance are researched. And then the contributions of dummy layers to the capacitance are further explored. In the experiment, the pattern pitch is 4*4mm, and take the areas of channel as variables. In order to obtain the self‐capacitance and mutual‐capacitance of pattern channel, the simulations are performed by Q3D Extractor software.
