Flexible display technology has a great market prospect due to its light‐weight, flexibility, and robustness. However, how to characterize the mechanical deformation of flexible display devices has not been defined internationally. In this regard, we proposed that the bending stiffness can be used to characterize the mechanical deformation by testing flexible display devices with different structures at different bending angles in the international conference in May 2018. The experimental results indicated that the method for the bending stiffness measurement is well‐suitable for flexible display devices. We believe that the development of this kind of testing method would help establish the comprehensive characterizations of mechanical properties of flexible display devices and lay out the framework for the international standards.
