A Z‐axis absorption film that can be integrated with a polarizer is proposed. The film provides different degrees of absorption for front and side views to solve the light leakage behavior of the IPS panel in a dark side view state. The front view brightness of the panel can be three times higher than the side view of the dark state, thereby effectively improving the light leakage of the IPS panel in the dark state of the large viewing angle.
