Holographic display based on liquid crystal on silicon spatial light modulator is capable of changing image position without mechanical movement, and this feature is especially suitable for vehicle head up display to resolve accommodation issue and apply for augmented reality scenario. A prototype has demonstrated the capability of changing image position between 3 m to 30 m from the windshield.
