Abstract We have proposed a new active organic light‐emitting diode display (AMOLED) pixel design, which is suitable for the simultaneous emission driving high definition AMOLED. In the previous work, the pixel structure could be simplified with the simultaneous emission driving compared to the widely used progressive emission driving. However, the flickering was observed.
