Unidirectional aligned CdSe/CdS nanorods can be used as enhancement films for liquid crystal display backlight, due to its linearly polarized emission and high quantum yield. 4 different surface ligand combinations are presented in this paper, improving both film quality and polarized emission from the film, providing opportunities for practical application.
