Field‐of‐light displays currently in development require a way to determine meaningful evaluation metrics to define and compare emerging prototypes. FoVI 3D is developing a metrology application to evaluate such qualities as spatial resolution and accuracy, parallax/angular resolution, luminance, color fidelity, contrast, and uniformity of light‐field displays regardless of implementation.
