We investigated the influence of illumination on Vcom distortion which is the main cause of line image sticking and analyzed the mechanism of backlight illumination on Vcom distortion by using MIS structure. Results showed that the amplitude of Vcom distortion increased with elevating the backlight illumination and finally reached its maximum value. Moreover, UV‐irradiation on the semiconductor layer was proved to be an effective method to improve Vcom distortion.
