Considering commercial virtual reality device now, most of them have the problem of visual fatigue which caused by accommodation and convergence (AC) conflict. Also, the bulky device makes user uncomfortable experience. This study aim to enhance the image quality by free‐form micro‐optical design based on light field technique using in near eye system. The results get the apparent improvement and show the importance of optical element in the light field system. Meanwhile, the depth perception of light field technique has been verified in the results.
