In this paper , by using the side‐emitting LED backlight with collimating lens and multilayer optical thin film color filter the LCD were successfully developed with Rosh‐compliant and to achieved more than 90% BT.2020 color gamut .The LED light source can use YAG phosphor or normal nitride RG phosphor without using quantum dots solution.
