We propose a new electrode configuration, called diamond‐shape in‐plane switching (DIPS), to lower the operation voltage of polymer‐stabilized blue‐phase liquid crystal displays (BPLCDs). Using an industrially‐proven BPLC mixture, we can obtain 75% peak transmittance at 15 V, while keeping fast response time. Our DIPS structure enables single‐TFT per pixel to drive BPLCDs.
