We proposed a novel reserve optical compensated bend (ROCB) liquid crystal display mode. This mode has advantages of a rapid response time and self‐compensation for large viewing angle. We also used polymer network to stabilize the bend configuration. We achieved ultra‐fast response time of sub‐millisecond, which is suitable for color sequential operation.
