This study proposes a head‐mounted holographic display systems which adopts modified Gerchberg Saxton algorithm (MGSA) to produce the point composition of the computer generated phase only function (CGPOF), and transfers the information to LCoS with presenting. The diffraction images can be transferred through the eyepiece and imaged on the retina. In this study, Zemax is used for the design and optimization of the eyepiece, and the zoom mechanism of human eyes which can image on the retina is also considered. Finally, the objective image quality of the head‐mounted holographic display system is analyzed
