In this work, the macro and micro scratch resistance of organic‐inorganic hybrid hard coatings with Al 2 O 3 nanoparticles on plastic substrates was tested using the pencil hardness test and nano‐indentation. The nano‐indentation hardness of the hard coatings was evaluated and compared with the observed pencil scratch hardness.
