Novel Reactive Mesogen (RM) materials can be used for enhancing the optical performance of state of the art LC and OLED displays. Recent developments in the field were focussed on improved optical performance and increased robustness. RMs can be coated as extremely thin flexible films making them suitable for potential new flexible type displays.
